New Recipe: Apple Sauce

We have an apple tree in our back yard and so we freeze lots of apple sauce to either warm up later or to use in recipes. Apple sauce is a great way to use up those not so perfect apples. We don't spray our tree so we end up having to cut out lots of apple blemishes as we are processing! For this recipe, we leave the skins on and cook extra long in the slow cooker (to break down the skins). This makes preparation easier and maybe allows for some additional nutrient and fiber retention. The kids could eat bowls of this sauce so I usually have to limit servings! Check out the recipe here.
